Our Vintage Products

We take great care to accurately describe and photograph the items we sell on this website.  It wouldn’t be in our best interests to mislead you, we want our customers to be happy with their purchase – and come back for more!  We spend a lot of time sympathetically restoring our chairs and stools to make them the best that they can be without affecting their integrity or losing their ‘vintage’ essence.  The items we sell can be anything upwards of 50 years old.  We therefore  ask our customers to bear in mind that there can be (and most likely will be) some natural wear and tear commensurate with an items age, particularly on any ‘show wood’ i.e. arms and legs.

Most of our items are completely refurbished but some are 100% original or partly restored. With this is mind, you may be buying a vintage item that doesn’t fully comply to today’s production requirements, particularly in relation to fire retardancy.  Obviously where we have replaced foam or reupholstered an item, it’s using fully compliant modern materials and has been professionally done.

All our pieces show the dimensions. Before committing to buy do check that you can accommodate the item in your home and that it will fit through doorways and access points.

We  welcome enquiries about any item you may be interested in. We are more than willing to provide additional details or photographs which will help you decide whether or not the piece you have seen is everything you desire.

We value your privacy and will not pass on any of your personal information to any third party.


You can pay for your items by various means.  Bank transfer, PayPal or cheque  prior to delivery. If you let us know your preferred method when you order we can give you payment instructions.  See the ‘How To Buy’ page of the website.


We hope you will be happy with your purchase but we value our customers’ satisfaction and so will refund any item if it is returned within 14 days of delivery.  We would ask you to contact us in the first instance if you are planning to return an item.

Any goods being returned must be received by us in the same condition as they were sent out and include the original packing materials.  We regret that shipping costs are non refundable and the customer is responsible for the cost of return shipping and insurance.

If an item we deliver to you is damaged in transit we will offer a full refund as long as you notify us within 48 hours and retain any original packaging materials for claim purposes. After that time we are afraid we cannot uphold any claim.

Bespoke items that have been personalised for you do not fall under our normal return policy (unless damaged) but you may cancel your order within 48 hours of placement for a full refund.

These terms don’t affect your statutory rights.
